Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and MacroStack ("we," "us") covering your use of the MacroStack website, apps, and services. By creating an account or using MacroStack, you accept them.

The Service

MacroStack is a nutrition tracking and coaching platform: food logging, a shared food database, macro targets, weight tracking, progress photos, messaging, AI-assisted tools, and a coaching portal that lets independent coaches work with their clients.

Your Account

• You must be at least 13 years old (and at least 18 to purchase a subscription or operate a coach account).
• Keep your login credentials private — you're responsible for activity on your account.
• Give us accurate information and keep it current.

Plans, Billing & Cancellation

• The free tier is free forever. Paid plans (MacroStack Pro and Coach tiers) bill through Stripe on the cadence you choose.
• You can cancel anytime from the billing portal — you keep access through the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be billed again. Partial periods aren't refunded.
• Pro access granted through a linked coach lasts while the link is active.
• Coach tier changes are prorated by Stripe. If we change prices, we'll notify you before your next renewal.

Coaches & Clients

• Coaches on MacroStack are independent professionals, not our employees or agents. We provide the software; the coaching relationship — advice, results, and conduct — is between you and your coach.
• Payments from clients to coaches run through Stripe Connect directly to the coach's own Stripe account. Disputes about coaching fees are between client and coach.
• Linking with a coach shares your logs, weight entries, progress photos, check-ins, and messages with that coach (see our Privacy Policy).
• Coaches must have any qualifications or credentials required in their jurisdiction and may not present MacroStack output as medical advice.

Not Medical Advice

MacroStack is not a medical service. Calorie targets, macro recommendations, AI-generated meal plans, and coach guidance are for general fitness and informational purposes only. Consult a physician before starting any diet or exercise program, and never disregard professional medical advice because of something in the app.

Your Content

• Your data is yours — logs, photos, messages, and custom foods. You grant us the limited license needed to store, display, and process them to operate the service.
• Nutrition facts from foods you scan or add (name, brand, macros — nothing personal) become part of the shared food database available to all users, and remain there if you delete your account.
• Don't upload content that's illegal, infringing, or abusive.

Acceptable Use

• No attempting to break, probe, or overload the service, or to access other users' data.
• No scraping the food database or reselling access to the service.
• No impersonation, harassment, or spam through messaging features.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Disclaimers & Liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." Food database entries — including user-contributed ones — may contain errors; verify nutrition information that matters to your health. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these terms, and will give notice where practical. Sections that by their nature should survive (your content license for shared food data, disclaimers, liability limits) survive termination.

Changes & Governing Law

We may update these terms as the service evolves; meaningful changes will be announced in the app or by email, and continued use means acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which MacroStack operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
